Dr Jitendra Teotia was born on April 20, to a farmer Late Shri Sukhbir of village Bhatona of district Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. Being a precocious child, he always displayed strong inclination for service to humanity since his childhood.
Actuated by his passion for serving people, he began his medical career with a small clinic in Gulaothi. The journey that began with a small bucket – to serve humanity found its culmination in the establishment of a hospital named Savita Arogya Dham.
Dr Jitendra Teotia found the purpose of his life in helping the common man in every possible way. The list of his philanthropic activities is rather endless. He was associated with several social organisations.
Dr Sahab had envisioned a self-reliant India in every sector of the country. He firmly believed that education is the only key for nations development. He understood well the role of education in uplifting the masses and its significant contribution to national progress in the general and common man in particular.
So, he brought a change for children concentrating not only for education but also for co-curricular activities and sports by establishing Gayatri Public School - a co-educational school from Nursery to XII. He was also the custodian for Vidya Mandir, Basanti Devi Kanya Vidyalay and Ch. Charan Singh Bhatona.
Dr Jitendra was known for his unassuming generosity. He was a successful Education visionary and would remain as a role model for others. On account of his dedicated services to various sections of society, particularly, the poor and backward classes, he was revered by all. In recent years, he was devoting his maximum time for further alleviation of poverty of the economically backward people. Dr Jitendra always advocated granting a rightful place to weaker sections in society. He was above caste politics and wanted all to come up regardless of their caste, colour and creed. For these qualities, he commanded great respect amongst the masses. He firmly held the view that all differences in life that exist today can be amicably resolved with meaningful meetings and dialogues.
Dr Jitendra's philosophy was that without the upliftment of weaker and backward sections of society our nation's dream of being a leading nation of the world shall remain unfulfilled. To realize this conviction, he was motivated by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh
and was a dedicated Swayamsewak all his life. Like education, even in social life, he had a successful story to tell. He received tremendous support and cooperation of people throughout.
It is aptly said of Dr Sahab, “where others saw walls he saw doors”. Then, whether it was opening doors or breaking down the walls he always led the way. The life journey of Dr Sahab from a farmer’s son to a successful Doctor, a philanthropist, an educationist and as a social worker would serve as a great source of inspiration for generations to come.
